Evanescence Acoustic Tribute Night with Nour Khan

Room will be hosting an acoustic night of Evanescence Covers by vocalist Nour Khan.


Nour is an Egyptian vocalist. She had a passion for singing since she was 8 years old but in 2010 she started developing her singing techniques all by herself.


In 2011 she started singing covers for Evanescence and other bands.


In 2012 she participated in “Sing Egyptian Women” competition which was held by “The US Embassy in Egypt” where she made it to the top 16 and performed live at El-Sawy Culture Wheel. In the lead up to this concert, she among the sixteen finalists attended several workshops led by industry experts like "Neveen Allouba"


In September 2013 she made her first original song "Ghorabaa" with her friend Abdallah Mohamed who arranged the music. The lyrics are from the famous poem "Ghorabaa" by Samih al-Qasim. The song became a hit and has now more than 4 million plays on SoundCloud.


In May 2017 she released her second called "Layta Li" with her friend Abdalla Mohamed as well who arranged the music. The lyrics are also from a famous poem by Aboul-Qacem Echebbi.


In October 2017 she started studying Opera singing at Cairo Opera House. Her teacher is the great Tenor singer and vocal teacher Sobhy Bedeir.


In early 2018 she decided to form a new Arabic rock band called Qafiya. They released their first single "Eskoni Ya Jerah" on November 20th and they are currently working on their first EP.
