Youssef Abouzeid is an Egyptian songwriter/producer and active member of Cairo’s underground music scene. Abouzeid co-founded local bands PanSTARRS, Kelab and El Manzouma, as well as fx pedals boutique NMR pedals and label/residency/record store HIZZ.

His latest album "Captain Solo" (released through HIZZ) is pretty much what the name implies: a look into loneliness and the feelings that accompany it. The album consists of close to an hour of arpeggiated melodies layered a-top punk beats and washed out vocals.
