مشروع لخيال الظل

رباعيات النيل هي سلسلة من القصص القصيرة تظهر التحديات التي تواجه أولئك الذين يسترزقون من الأرض في وجه التغير المناخي والتدهور البيئي. صائد سمك صيده
تلوث بالنفايات الصناعية التي سممت السمك والناس التي تؤكله. فلاحة هجرت من أرضها بسبب ازدياد ملوحة الأرض وزحف المد العمراني. هذه القصص تهدف الي التقاط مقاطع من حيوات ضحايا التغير المناخي في دلتا النيل، تنقل مزيج ا من الأحباط، المثابرة والتفاإل. هي لكلا من التؤمل والحث علي التغيير الأيجابي، تناجينا ان نستمع الي اصوات الأرض ومن هم اشد الناس معرفة بها. الأداءات تعقبها مناقشة عن العرض والموضوع.

Rubayat El Nil
A Shadow Puppetry Project

Rubayat El Nil is a series of short vignettes portraying the struggles of those who make a living off the land in the face of climate change and increasing environmental degradation. A fisherman's catch is tainted by industrial wastes poisoning the fish and those who consume them. A farmer is displaced from her land by increasing soil salinity and rampant urbanization. These stories attempt to capture a snapshot of the lives of victims of climate change in Egypt's Nile Delta, conveying a mix of frustration, persistence and optimism. It is both a reflection and a call to action, beckoning us to listen to the voices of the land and those who know it most intimately. Performances are followed by a discussion on the show and its themes.
