مشروع في الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة. الفكرة
كان لإحياء مفهوم ""الفركة"" (fer2a) مرة أخرى في
مشهد موسيقي ، مما يعني وجود نفس الفرقة الموسيقية
موسيقيون يعرضون فنانين متنوعين من مختلف الأنواع
ونكهات. من الناحية العملية ، فإن المفهوم هو
تشكيل فرقة اندماج الموسيقيين الموهوبين على طول
مع دعم غناء يلعب النسخ الأصلية وكذلك الأغلفة.

"Fonograf started as Maher ElMallakh's graduation
project at The American University in Cairo. The idea
was to revive ""el ferka"" (fer2a) concept again in the
music scene, which means having the same band of
musicians featuring diverse artists of different genres
and flavors. In practical terms, the concept is to
formulate a fusion band of talented musicians along
with backing vocals playing originals as well as covers.
Fonograf's mission is to connect with people through
the universal language of music by reviving some
golden songs and melodies. We strongly believe that
music will enhance our beloved culture."
